This summer SPAM set out on a Cross-Country Tour stopping in cities all accross the U.S. of A to promote their product. They snagged a super cool truck and came up with some very creative recipes incorporating their famous ingredient and served up some tasty treats along with plenty of fun. In each city they stopped they found a local artist to collaborate with them and create a poster that would showcase some of the vibe of their beloved hometown along with the fun spirit of SPAM. Here is the poster I designed for my great city - Tulsa, Oklahoma along with some shots of the SPAM truck and people they met along the way.
The following are a few initial sketched ideas. I considered including Tulsa being built from the oil boom, it's wealth of Art Deco architecture, Native American Influence, western roots, agriculture, prairieland, friendly creative people, and DIY attitude.
